Employment Law for Law Firms

Employment Law for Law Firms

We also provide our employment law expertise to law firms, both in advising them as our clients (after all, law firms are often employers as well) or for providing our services through them.

As clients

In our experience, law firms without their own dedicated HR can turn to their employment law department to essentially handle their internal HR.

Whilst there are arguments for and against this, inevitably the person or people with employment law experience will be pushed into a situation where they are essentially advising against themselves, which isn’t good to you (not to mention a conflict of interests).

It’s also our experience that law firms only need to be pointed in the right direction, which keeps things straightforward and cost-effective for them.

Employment law can also be used effectively for the growth of your business, as demonstrated for one of our law firm clients, which was able to open a new office that is bringing in work as a solution to a potential employment law problem.

“White labelling”

You may be a law firm that focuses on one or a series of different legal specialisms, but not on employment law.

You might see a steady stream of employment law enquiries coming to you, but not have the existing expertise to handle them, meaning that you’re essentially losing out on another income stream for your firm.
